| A philosophy of the programme is that students must practise in order to achieve success. Each student should set aside a 15 minute study period for tutorial studies daily. This time can be used to complete tutorial studies, review lessons and to prepare for future tests. Experience has shown that students who organize their time effectively, find even the most challenging subjects to be less intimidating. The KTS programme encourages its students to pay close attention in class, complete all homework assignments consistently, avoid procrastination and seek extra help when needed after school and during tutorial sessions. Students are expected to be punctual and to display a genuine interest in the programme. If a student in an elementary or secondary school does not participate in a serious and productive manner, parents will be notified to discuss the area of concern. All instructors encourage strict self-discipline. A very mature, responsible, and co-operative attitude is essential at all times. Friends are not permitted to wait or call upon students; cellular phones/pagers must be off at all times. |
